A mission born in the classroom, perfected for every doorway

We founded Fox 2 Sierra after watching too many headline-making tragedies—from Columbine to Uvalde—and feeling the same knot in our stomachs each time: someone should have given those teachers a fighting chance. We knew that first responders can’t be everywhere, but a tool inside the room might buy the precious seconds needed to save lives. That idea became the Active-Shooter Evasion / Escape Security Shield (A.S.E.S.S.): a normal-looking whiteboard that rolls, locks and links into a fortress the instant danger appears.

Every detail was engineered around real-world chaos. A child can push it; a teacher can steer it through a single doorway; an office manager can snap two units together to close off an atrium. The lightweight core is the same U.S-made ballistic composite trusted in police shields, stopping everything from 9 mm handguns to 7.62 mm rifle fire. Outside, it’s just a dry-erase board—no panic until the moment it matters.

Schools were our first rallying cry, but the need doesn’t end at the bell. We now build A.S.E.S.S. units for corporate HQs, concert venues, faith-based facilities, sports locker rooms and city halls. Modular brackets let teams daisy-chain panels across hallways, drop pins into pre-staged mounts or angle the top panel to guard stairwells during an orderly exit.

Approved for FEMA’s Non-Profit Security Grant Program and manufactured entirely in the United States from 100 % domestic materials, every board carries the pride of a veteran-owned shop—and the promise that someone, somewhere, will get home because it was there.
